Hi! My name is Kayla :)
I'm a New York-based with 5+ years experience as a graphic designer and concert photographer and 8+ years in the music and entertainment industry. I currently hold a BBA in Arts & Entertainment Management from Pace University.
I specialize in visual branding, merchandise design, and poster design.
My design style is crafted by vintage and retro aesthetics, maximalism, and, best of all, music. I love to incorporate the use of textures, gradients, unique patterns, and hand-drawn elements in my work. My love for design stems from my deep passion for music. I have a knack for turning musical experiences into visual art.
My career bridges the music and creative worlds, with roles as an artist manager, concert photographer, booker, marketing coordinator, and designer for venues like Wild Birds, Groove, and Café Wha?. At Wild Birds, I produced 300+ digital assets—posters, motion graphics, and short-form content—often within 24 hour turn around times. At Café Wha? and Groove, I handled marketing, social media, and all creative assets for digital and print.
Additionally, I've had the privilege to work on meaningful projects like working with Powered by Moonlite creating graphics for The Mid -Autumn Festival hosted in NYC. Furthermore, I manage NYC-Based math-rock band, Rest Ashore, helping them with booking, touring, photography, and merchandise. I see myself creating more arts & culture related design and creative content in the future, leaving a positive impact on the communities I work with and those around me.
