Born to Vietnamese immigrant parents, my future composed of only two options; inherit the family nail salon or disappoint my parents and pursue a career in the arts. I chose the latter because I could not allow myself to die in a nail salon in Maryland (no hate to my DMV people). I specialize in music industry graphic designer, concert photography. I started my career in the entertainment industry at 17 years old and currently hold a Bachelors of Business Administration in Arts and Entertainment Management from Pace University. I'm currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Here are a few notable experiences I should mention.
My background includes both the music and creative industries, having worked as a booking intern and later as the booking manager and graphic designer for Wild Birds Music Venue and Bar in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I was able to build relationships with artists, streamline the booking process, and solve problems creatively. During my time at Wild Birds, I've had the privilege to design for some really talented artists such as Astro Raw and Lion Babe, Pinc Louds, and Brooklyn Magazine Festival.
Additionally, I've had the privilege to work on meaningful projects like working with Sax of Shaolin creating graphics and promotional video fundraising for Chinatown's Outdoor Dining Solutions. Furthermore, I manage NYC-Based math-rock band, Rest Ashore. I helping them book shows, make content, and tour.
Currently, I hold the position of Marketing Coordinator at legendary music venue Cafe Wha? and their sister club, Groove. In addition to my marketing and social media duties, I create all of the assets used for digital and print marketing.
I see myself creating more community-based and educational content in the future, leaving a positive impact on the creative community and those around me.
