Algernon Cadwallader is an American emo and math rock band from Yardley, Pennsylvania. They were originally active from 2005 to 2012. In 2022, the band regrouped and began touring again. Stereogum referred to the band as the "heroes of the emo revival". Their record label, Lauren Records, approached me to create a visually captivating and impactful concert poster for their upcoming show at Warsaw for their reunion tour. The objective was to design a poster that reflected the band's past musical themes and unique style, attract attention to their target audience and generate excitement for the event.
I conducted thorough research into the Algernon Caldawaller Band's past albums, music, genre, and target audience. Through understanding the band's music, lyrics, and album artwork I captivated their unique style and themes, which would guide the poster design. I carefully selected typography, colors, and imagery that aligned with the band's aesthetic and captivated the overall excitement for the special reunion tour. The concert poster served as an effective promotional tool, with over 500 fans in attendance to the concert.
